Speaking of flying.

After long research-and-testflying-and-jobflying-and-crashing-and-again-rebuilding-but-different we now know which type of drone construction meets our requirements up to 96% (100% only exist in advertising). It's the so called X8. Four arms with two motors each - with a capacity that allows for a worst case scenario of half the motors failing. This type is not necessarily the most efficient as we don't want to set the world record in continuous flying time, but rather fly safe. This gives us the best flying qualities for aerial photography and safe 8 to 16 minutes sheer flight time according to load. Furthermore these systems are extremely compact and can easily be transported.

Besides our ultra-micro-mini-copter all our systems are designed for two-man operation: the pilot controls the copter and the camera operator independently controls the camera system. The pilot receives the signal from a small camera always facing the direction of flight via analog video transmission – the camera operator receives an uncompressed 1080p feed from the recording, stabilized and freely movable camera which can also be recorded on the ground in parallel. This way it's possible to have a close look at the footage right away after the flight. Also an additional bigger screen can easily be connected on request in case a public screening is being organized…

We build our flight systems completely on our own and for a good reason: we want to understand why things work. Or not, as the case may be. And we want to be independent in case of need.
voocam has enough flight systems to safely master every job. In the meantime we also have… numerous… gimbals (3-axis camera platforms). Because technology keeps improving constantly so are we and thus keep from listing all the brands that are built into our machines.
